This drainage membrane with ultimate performance values is designed for the civil engineering industry. The membrane is made out of a special High-Density Polythylene to meet the toughest requirements in regards to drainage capacity, compressive strength, chemical resistance, environmental stress, crack resistance and long term performance. DELTA®-MS 20 is root-resistant and approved for drinking water applications.
DELTA®-MS 20 is a high-performance drainage membrane for use in commercial construction, underground structural applications and civil engineering projects. Its excellent drainage performance and high compressive strength are achieved by a specially engineered 0.8" (20 mm) dimple design, and a high-end polythylene resin with a unique additive-package used as raw material in production.
DELTA®-MS 20 provides significant cost savings when used as permanent shuttering between a concrete structural wall and a shotcrete outer shell or diaphragm wall. It can be installed horizontally or vertically. The shotcrete shell acts as a filter, preventing migration of fine-grain particles into the drainage void.
Vertical applications:
DELTA®-MS 20 can be utilized in vertical applications to drain high amounts of water for protection of underground structures.
Horizontal applications:
In construction of underground structures such as parking garages, DELTA®-MS 20 can be installed horizontally between the foundation slab and the asphalt surfacing to drain off water influx caused by an elevated groundwater table.
Tunnel construction:
The excellent drainage capacity of DELTA®-MS 20 makes it ideal for heavy-duty drainage applications in tunnel construction. Installed with the dimpled texturing facing outward (towards the rock surface or stabilizing shotcrete layer), the sheet provides reliable full-surface drainage under even the most demanding conditions. Hydrostatic pressure is thus completely eliminated.
